What are Ten Frames?
A ten frame is a visual tool consisting of a grid with 10 equally sized boxes. The 10 Boses are split into two groups of five, creating a 5 by 2 array. Its purpose is to help students develop number sense and understand the concept of grouping numbers into fives and tens. Each box in the ten frame can hold a counter or object and provides a tangible representation of quantity.
